*M42 cryogenically treated high speed steel containing 5% vanadium and 8% cobalt.The 67-68HRC hardness improves the durability of sharpness and impact toughness, making its cutting performance better than M2.

*Total Length 540mm with 220mm blade and 320mm ash wood handle 

It's detailing tool used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parallel to the lathe bed. Spindle gouges are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets, vases, bed posts, candle sticks and other spindle projects.
